No deadlines? No standard for quality or communication? No problem!
We worked with Victory Stich for a cutting job. While the owner Nya was polite (hence the one star), not a single completion date that was given to us was met during the entire process. Furthermore, communication AND quality were POOR. We had to keep reaching out after missed deadlines, and it got to the point we had to become "that client" and resort to popping up unannounced for updates. The closest we got to an on-time completion and halfway decent communication came following an unpleasant conversation, after which we received poorly cut fabric (see photos on the google review). The purpose of working with a company that uses machinery was to speed up the cutting process and have identical cuts since multiple layers of fabric were being cut simultaneously. A much better job has been done by hand. Not only did working with Victory Stitch set our small business behind by over a month, we are now forced to try and "make it work" with what was given to us. If you choose to work with them: HAVE A CONTRACT! Get all figures and terms in writing and make sure you include statements that say you will not pay for missed deadlines or poor craftsmanship, otherwise you will be paying full price for unsatisfactory work and service, and the GAG is...they will be expecting that payment in full at the time of pickup no matter how long they take to complete your job or how bad the quality. Lesson learned! Other less than stellar reviews have been met with the response "we're a small company." While that's understandable, that can't be the excuse through the life of the company. Small or not, proper communication needs to be prioritized. The objective should be to build trusting relationships and foster REPEAT business. Constructive criticism: Learn the art of under-promising and over-delivering. If a job could be done in 3 business days, tell the customer it will take 7-10 business days, giving yourself adequate leeway for mishaps and delays. Complete the job (to standard of quality) in 4-5 business days, and when you call the client "early" for pickup, they'll be blown away at how well you took care of them and leave a stellar review. Free game. You're welcome. This will work better than missing deadlines with no updates, upsetting clients, rushing the job and expecting clients to just deal with it (while you take their money) because "we're a small company."
