This Privacy Policy explains what information Maker's Row, Inc. (“Maker’s Row”, “we”, “us”) collects from people who use our websites, marketplace, accounts and related services, how we use that information, and how we share it.

It applies to Brands, to Manufacturers, and to visitors who browse without an account. Your use of the services is also governed by our Terms of Service.

BY USING OUR SITE OR SERVICES OR SUBMITTING PERSONAL INFORMATION THROUGH OUR SITE OR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT AND YOU EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ACCORDING TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE. IF YOU DO NOT WANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF TO BE USED IN THE MANNER SET FORTH IN THIS PRIVACY NOTICE, DO NOT USE THE SITE.

We collect the following categories of information. Not every category applies to every account.

Account and contact information

Your name, email address, username, password, and the company you represent.

Brand and project information

Projects you create, including briefs, product categories, quantities, requirements, timelines and any notes you add.

Manufacturer and company information

Company details, locations, capabilities, minimums, certifications you tell us about, products, samples and catalogue material, and information submitted as part of a profile claim or vetting application.

Public profile information

Information shown on a public Manufacturer profile. See Public Manufacturer Profiles.

Messages, proposals and marketplace activity

Inquiries, proposals, messages between Brands and Manufacturers, saved manufacturers, and your activity in the marketplace.

Images, files and other submitted content

Project images, reference material, product photography, sample images, logos and other files you upload or generate.

Subscription and billing information

Your plan, billing period, subscription status and billing history. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor; see Payments and Billing.

Device, usage and technical information

IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on the site, collected through server logs and similar technologies.

Information from connected services

Where you sign in with a third-party identity provider or connect another service, we receive the information that service provides for that purpose.

• Directly from you, when you create an account, build a profile, post a project, send a message or submit a proposal.
• Automatically, through your use of the services and the technical means described above.
• From your interactions with other users of the marketplace.
• From service providers and integrations that support the services.

• To create and operate your account.
• To operate the marketplace, including discovery, projects, inquiries, proposals and messaging.
• To help Brands find relevant Manufacturers and to surface relevant opportunities to Manufacturers.
• To display Manufacturer profiles and marketplace content.
• To provide subscriptions, process billing and maintain billing records.
• To provide support and respond to requests.
• To send service, account and security communications, and marketplace notifications.
• To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To measure and improve the services.
• To provide AI-assisted features you ask for. See Artificial Intelligence Features.
• To comply with law and enforce our agreements.

Maker’s Row offers AI-assisted features, including Ask Maker’s Row, AI-assisted project drafting, generated project visuals and AI-assisted proposal drafting.

• When you use one of these features, the prompt and the content you provide are processed to produce a result.
• Where a feature is contextual — for example, drafting a proposal for a specific opportunity — relevant account, project or opportunity information may be processed so the feature can do what you asked.
• Third-party AI and technology providers support this functionality and process the content necessary to return a result.
• AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. You should review it before relying on it or acting on it.
• AI features assist you. They do not publish a project or send a proposal on your behalf; you review and approve before anything consequential happens.

Other marketplace users

Information you deliberately share through a project, inquiry, proposal or message is disclosed to the counterparty it is addressed to, as the marketplace requires.

Service providers

We use providers for hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, analytics and similar functions. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information where we believe doing so is legally required, or is necessary to protect our property or other legal rights, including enforcement of our agreements, or the rights or property of others.

Corporate transactions

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

Maker’s Row does not disclose personal information except as described in this Privacy Policy, at your direction, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

Maker’s Row is a marketplace, and Manufacturer and business profiles may be publicly accessible, including to people without an account and to search engines.

Information placed on a public profile — company name, location, capabilities, products, samples and images — should be treated as public. Do not put anything on a public profile that you would not want published.

Maker’s Row may maintain public business profiles that have not been claimed by the business they describe.

• An eligible business may request to claim and manage such a profile.
• A claim request is subject to review and verification.
• Submitting a claim request does not by itself establish ownership of, affiliation with, verification of, or endorsement of a business.

We do not describe the specific checks used to review claims, because doing so would help somebody defeat them.

The marketplace works by passing information between Brands and Manufacturers. When you post a project, send an inquiry, submit a proposal or send a message, the information in it is disclosed to the counterparty so they can respond.

Using Maker’s Row does not by itself create a confidentiality agreement between you and another user. See Confidential and Sensitive Information in our Terms of Service.

Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. Maker’s Row may receive and retain limited payment and transaction information needed to operate subscriptions and billing, such as payment method type, card brand, the last four digits of a payment method, billing details, transaction status, and payment or subscription identifiers. Maker’s Row does not receive or store your complete payment card number or card security code through its ordinary payment processing flow.

Card details are entered directly into the processor’s own payment fields.

We use cookies and similar technologies, including standard server logs and web beacons, to operate the site, keep you signed in, understand how the services are used, and improve them.

Session cookies are removed when you leave the site. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you remove them. Most browsers accept cookies automatically; you can change that in your browser settings, though parts of the services may stop working.

Third parties may also set cookies or use similar means to collect information about your use of their services or content. We do not control those practices.

We measure how the services are used so we can operate and improve them. This includes aggregate reporting on usage and marketplace activity. We may disclose aggregate statistics that do not identify any individual user.

• Service and transactional messages — account creation, billing, subscription changes and similar. These are part of the service and cannot be switched off while you hold an account.
• Security messages — sign-in and account-security notices. These also cannot be switched off.
• Marketplace notifications — inquiries, proposals, messages and project activity. These can be managed from your account settings.
• Marketing — you can opt out at any time, using the unsubscribe link or your account settings.

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the services, to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we take steps to remove or de-identify it.

We use reasonable security measures designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please note, however, that no data security measures can be guaranteed to be completely effective. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any personal information or other information. You transmit personal information to us at your own risk.

You can review and update much of your information from your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

To make a request, contact us at info@makersrow.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some information may be retained where the law permits or requires it.

You may also close your account by contacting us.

Maker’s Row is hosted in the United States and is generally intended for United States visitors. If you visit from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please be aware that you are transferring personal information to the United States. The United States does not have the same data protection laws as the EU and some other regions. By providing personal information to us, you consent to the transfer of personal information to the United States and the use of personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

Maker’s Row is a business and professional marketplace. The site is not directed to children and children are not eligible to use our site or services.

We do not collect or maintain personal information from people we actually know are under 13 years old, and no part of the site or services is designed to attract people under 13. If we later obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove that user’s personal information from our databases.

Our site and services are intended for users over the age of 18. It is our policy that visitors and users between 13 and 18 use them only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under 18 and have already provided personal information without that consent, please have your parent or guardian contact us at info@makersrow.com so we can remove it.

The services may contain links to other websites. Maker’s Row is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites. This policy applies only to information collected by us. Users who follow a link to another site may be disclosing their information to that site, and should read its privacy policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the services after a change will be subject to the then-current policy. Notice of material changes will be posted on the site and/or provided by email or on sign-in; the form of notice is at our discretion. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
