Tom Cat Designs is a custom sewing contractor. Based in our Rhode Island sewing studio we specialize in costumes, designing, three dimensional and other custom sewing projects for large companies or custom sewing work for individual clients. As a custom sewing contractor we have been contracted to make the show drapes (large, international exhibitions for wholesale buyers for 100% cotton quilting fabrics) for Michael Miller Fabrics, a NY based quilting fabric company. We also make sample items for Triboro Quilt Company,Summer Infant (Carter's Baby Line) also located in NY. These are the design models which eventually get mass produced overseas and to be sold in stores such as Target, Wal-Mart and other large department outlets. Other interesting projects include "Crittercams," for National Geographic and "Bottle Tuxedos," for Maker's Mark Bourbon (please see the gallery for photos) For several years we have been contracted by Disney on Ice and Reunion Outfitters, often for orders of several hundred costumes.
