Group is a creative development, manufacturing, and brand management firm created to help designers establish a presence within the industry. Our goal is to provide a platform for designers, either emerging or established, that can have access to services, craftsmen, and other additional talents, which will help them to launch a fully realized collection. At The D.N.A group, we provide a wide variety of services under one roof. All of our design, patternmaking, cutting, sewing production, textile design, fittings, and more are all completed by our talented team of designers and craftsmen. The manufacturing industry has all but disappeared in America, and it is our goal to bring it back. By helping designers to establish themselves using local manufacturing, it is our hope to build a new community that supports this industry. Horrible! take your idea elsewhere.
These guys dragged my product design samples for over year and never got anywhere. I should have asked for my money to be refunded. They are a total scam in my honest opinion. I took my idea elsewhere and a seamstress i found in the city instantly understood my concept and provided a sample of one of my products in a week!!! I dropped one of my ideas entirely after working with them. I was so discouraged that they would accept working on my coat idea then as they understood what working with faux fur would take, only to tell me they are not able to sew it with their machines. They take your business and then drag on the work. It is such a fragmented process like a game of telephone!!! You meet with dan to go over your idea and he relays the details to others. I NEVER FELT like the correct information was relayed because the pattern was never understood properly. They wasted my time and money and are like a dream killer. Consider them unreliable, go elsewhere, even to your neighborhood seamstress for crying out loud!

I Can't Say Enough!
The DNA Group has been professional, personable, responsive, collaborative, encouraging and extremely helpful throughout my journey from idea to launch. From technical drawings to patterns to samples and fit sessions, Dan (the Operations Director) has coordinated everything seamlessly. I do not have a design background, so I was intimidated to begin the conversation regarding product development and manufacturing, but DNA has been so patient with me and has never made me feel "less than" for not having grown up in the industry. The communication has been spot on and their prices are competitive. I have visited their facility on multiple occasions (by appointment) but have also been able to do a vast majority of the work remotely since I live out of state. I would highly recommend DNA as a valuable partner in your journey from idea conception to marketable product. They will help you take it one step at a time, and before you know it, you'll be in business!

FRAUDSTER AND CON MAN DAN DOUGLASS OF DNA GROUP- DO NOT WORK WITH THEM
After spending thousands of dollars and putting up with Dan Douglass for 9 months, Dan and the DNA Group have only delivered three, poorly made samples. Dan is cordial on the phone, but that's how he operates. He is a con man with no expectations to deliver on his promises. He took advantage of our inexperience in the industry and his deception and incompetence has drastically affected our business plan. Please save yourself the time and money, look elsewhere and do not make the same mistake that we did! Dan tries to lure you in by making you give a five star review early in the process because he knows that anyone that actually stuck it through with him wouldn't do that. He has an answer for everything. Take a look at reviews on here and google from Shazia Ijaz and Julia Kinney. With one of my partners relocating to San Francisco for a career change, Dan can expect to hear from our lawyer soon!

I am very happy and pleased that I have found this company to help with my development. I am going into my second season for my brand and before I found The DNA Group, I had a lot of snags and took a lot of wrong roads luckily for me, not too many!! It has been an absolute pleasure working with The DNA Group. As a newcomer to the garment manufacturing industry, I was nervous to take my first steps, but the DNA team provides an amazing support system and put my fears to rest. Great to work with
I've really enjoyed working with everyone at DNA. I was at a critical point in my startup's phase where I'd been pretty frustrated with a couple other shops and was really needing a breakthrough. Alex and the team were able to help me improve the design of our sexy pillow covers but also manufacture the first run. I love the location in SF as well. It's located in a thriving creative complex with access to dozens of other factories and disciplines. The team is very knowledgable and professional. That's true from Dan who runs operations to Taylor and Alex on the design side. The team really "gets" our product and the enthusiasm shows in their work. That and our work with DNA isn't over by any means and I look forward to starting our second design together. thank you!

An easy and friendly process
I had been searching for white neoprene for months without any luck, either it was too expensive or not available in the correct color. My friend who had previously ordered fabric from DNA told me about their services and company and how affordable and fast it had been to work with them. After confirming my order with Dan, he's the Operations Director and extremely nice, I promptly received my online invoice that blew me away. It was such a steal I still can't believe it, even with shipping and handling included. I placed my order with Dan on a Monday and was delighted to receive his phone call the following Monday informing me my order had arrived to their SF location. You do have to pick up your package at their venue, but trust me it's worth it when you take into account the incredible prices and great customer service. I'll definitely be ordering through the DNA group again in the future, it was an easy and friendly process and you can't beat the prices and quality of product.
