We're a women owned sewing factory in Portland, OR, specializing in handbags and accessories. We excel at working with finicky fabrics like leather, faux-leather and waxed canvas. Needle holes are forever, so you've got to get it right the first time. Spooltown runs production for many established brands, emphasizing rigorous quality standards, communication, and lasting relationships. We believe in visible American manufacturing. I am giving these guys 5 stars because someone else gave them 1 star just because they told her they were busy. This unfairly brought down the maker's overall rating. I don't know them, but from what I can see, they are doing good work. No one should be allowed to write a review unless they have worked with the maker. Imagine if someone gave me a bad review on airbnb just because I told them my apt was not available? Maker's Row should fix this.
I truly appreciate Dana helping me with getting a quote to manufacture my product. She is very detailed and did not miss one of my questions in our emailing back and forth. A rare gem in my opinion these days! I really appreciate her patience with me as well since I am mostly a self taught designer and am not familiar with the manufacturing process. She laid everything out for me in clear detail.
I contacted Spooltown last month to inquire into their availability for prototyping a handbag. Dana replied to my email within 24 hours, was professional and responsive, and even gave me some advice that proved to be very helpful. Hope to work with this cool company at some point!

I had contacted this company last week about manufacturing an accessory and they emailed me back that they were "booked up" for this year....
