Founded in 2012, Plain Stitches is a family-owned manufacturing company located in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. While we specialize in children's wear, knits, and insulated jackets, we are skilled at producing a wide variety of apparel including pants, shirts, skirts, dresses, vests and coats. We have experience working with both formal and workwear, and we are well-equipped to work with heavy denim and twill, as well as knits and stretch fabrics. In addition to apparel construction, we can also manufacture home furnishings such as curtains, table coverings, and pillow covers. We work with larger, more established businesses as well as accommodate the unique needs of start-up designers finding their way into the industry. Our seamstresses are members of the Amish and Mennonite communities where sewing has long been part of the regular rhythms of life. The skills of designing, fitting, and sewing clothing that have been passed down for generations and remain engrained in our communities.
