About

Hailing from a family whose tanning roots date back to 16th century Germany, the Meyer's have been making leather in the US for almost 200 years. Since 1999, we have built the Pergamena brand using traditional processing and manufacturing methods. Our leathers and parchments are made at our tannery in the Hudson Valley, NY, utilizing domestically-sourced skins, environmentally-friendly production processes, and generations of tanning expertise to manufacture beautiful vegetable-tanned goat and calf leather, as well as our unique calf, deer, goat, and sheep parchment. At Pergamena, we take pride in the quality of the skins we produce, combining our tradition with modern technology to offer designers and manufacturers flexibility and customization in thickness, color, character, and quality of all of our leathers and parchments.
