LRA at GHF, Inc. has produced the JSLIST Chemical Protective Overgarment (CPO) since 1997. The Department of Defense considers the CPO to be a critical life support product and is manufactured to very stringent quality standards. Since production of the JSLIST garment began in 1997, LRA at GHF, Inc. has added other apparel product lines for the Department of Defense including new types of Chemical Protective Overgarments requiring the latest technologies, and various layers of the Protective Combat Uniform such as the wet weather rain gear and the light weight insulated jacket. In 2007, a major expansion of the 25,000 sq. foot facilities was completed. The 26,000 sq. foot addition created a new warehouse as well as increased the production area. This expansion provided the space needed for new product development and additional manufacturing. A department was created capable of assisting in all phases of new product generation and prototype work. The department and building expansion substantially increased the number of employment opportunities for people with and without disabilities living in the Waldo County area.
