Industries for the Blind, Inc. _ Milwaukee was originally founded as a manufacturing company, employing blind and visually impaired individuals for the production and assembly of brooms and brushes. Now, more than 60 years later, weÍve expanded our range of services and products beyond manufacturing to include product fulfillment and product development. Our 100,000 square-foot, environmentally-friendly manufacturing facility employs visually impaired individuals, producing a wide variety of products. Our quality management systems are certified to International ISO 9001 standards. Additionally, much of what we manufacture complies with Presidential Order 13423, which calls for the use of green materials whenever possible. Within this facility we produce: -Six million SKILCRAFT official U.S. Government pens annually -A quarter-million glassine envelopes daily for the U.S. Postal Service -Brooms, mops and brushes -Janitorial and facilities products -Clean-burning, soy-based candles -Professional paint brushes, rollers and accessories -Kitchen and food service items
