Every piece of custom furniture I design and build is as unique as it’s owner. I enjoy speaking with each customer to tailor my designs to their needs. You may base your piece or pieces on one of the designs you’ve seen on my website ”" or have me create a one-of-a-kind piece that’s all your own. I am happy to talk with you about your ideas and encourage you to call me. I use an appropriate combination of modern and traditional furniture-making techniques to craft each item. I use dovetail, mortise-and-tenon, and pegged joinery for strength through simplicity. Hand rubbed natural oils bring out the natural beauty of the wood in each piece. From rural vernacular to formal period furniture, I strive to create synergy between the unique character of the selected wood and the elements of structure and design. I use high quality raw materials in my work. From top grade lumber with rich grains to high quality hardware, I hand select the items I will use to match the design concept and to provide you many years of enjoyment and function. I work with maple, cherry, walnut, and sustainably harvested mahogany. Contact me to design a new piece for you.
