Green Rivers Recycling Our vision is embodied by our logo: To keep materials flowing through reuse and recycling, from consumer back to manufacturer, protecting our environment and delivering more value to our entire community. Based in Nebraska City, Green Rivers Recycling operates a consolidation and processing warehouse off of 7th Corso and Hwy 75. Our central location allows us to reach the Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, an area without dependable, multi-material recycling services. We have cleaning and repairing capabilities for materials such as pallets, liquid bulk totes, and steel barrels. We maintain a truck and trailer fleet to pick up recyclable materials on demand. Drop trailers are an option for certain materials and large volumes. Planned expansion will include shredding of plastic bottles and cans, as well as enrollment into the Iowa container deposit program. The materials we currently accept include: -Liquid Bulk Totes (aka plastic bladders, IBC totes) -Pallets, skids, both wood, plastic, and metal, whole and broken -Baled cardboard and paper -Cardboard gaylords and large cardboard boxes -Baled Plastic Film, Plastic Rigids, etc. -55 gallon drums (barrels), steel, plastic, and cardboard -Lead Acid Batteries -Baled Plastic Film, colored and clear -Antique doors, including fire doors -Wooden crates -Other reusable items Our goal is to become the premier service provider of Southeast Nebaska and Southwest Iowa, by reducing landfill costs for our customers, giving them tools to maintain their waste in an orderly and safe manner, and allow them to market themselves as Green companies to their customers and communities.
