Since the day we opened our doors in 1973, we have been building our reputation as a quality American manufacturer. With nearly five decades of experience, we can cut and sew almost any top-of-the-bed or home furnishing product according to your custom design and specifications. In 1973 two friends, Jerry and Neil, founded our company in Mayfield, GA. At that time, the entire South was dotted with small-town factories producing soft goods and textiles, but Jerry and Neil knew that they had what it takes to “cut away” from the competition. Back then, the cotton was still grown at local farms and from there it was taken to mills to be processed, spun, and woven into premium cloth of all types. American-grown cotton has long been prized for its quality and durability, and Jerry and Neil knew all the best manufacturers at the finest mills. With their contacts and industry-knowledge, they saw an opportunity to manufacture and distribute bed linens nationwide, from choice fabrics woven and spun just a few dozen miles from their shop. As business increased, they moved production to our current location in Thomson, GA, purchased top-of-the-line equipment, and went out into the local community offering jobs to anybody who was motivated and capable. By the early 1980’s Jerry and Neil had grown the business to nearly 100 employees. They had a knack for finding new markets, sourcing raw materials to meet every price point, manufacturing to the customers’ specifications, and they ran a tight ship. As manufacturers sought cheap labor overseas and mass production became a race to the bottom, Jerry and Neil shifted the focus to unique cuts, sizes, and fabrics. Neil passed away and a McDuffie County native, Captain David Holt, stepped in to purchase the company, ensuring that we kept the jobs and production right here, as a critical part of the local economy. He modernized the equipment, established a new supply chain for raw materials (including adding premium imported fabrics to our line of product offerings), and began contract manufacturing. This new offering engaged innovative entrepreneurs, traditional mom-and-pop shops, and some of the largest names in retail such as Bed Bath & Beyond®, Bloomingdale’s®, and many other household names. With the advent of e-commerce, David foresaw a new market developing; businesses with an excellent name reputation and web presence needed a reliable, domestic manufacturer to drop-ship their products directly to the end-consumer from the factory floor in a fast and effortless way. As the global pandemic struck locally, David wanted to step back and refocus on other areas of business, so in 2020 the company passed to its third generation of Georgia family ownership with the Adelmans. The new owner, Eric, embraced the legacy of a commitment to quality, maintaining vital US manufacturing jobs, and reliably delivering premium products.
