Welcome to Far Beyond Woodworking. I am a self taught woodworker. Shaker and Mission styles have helped to shape my own personal style. I use clean lines, with traditional joinery, ie. Dovetails on all drawers. Far Beyond Woodworking is a small one man shop in the shadows of Mount Snow in West Dover, Vermont. I work with all local hardwoods, a lot of them are cut and sawed by my Dad, on his farm in Whitingham, VT. Some of the woods I use are Maple (Birdseye, Curly, Blistr, Tap Hole), Ash, Oak, Cherry, Walnut, and Butternut. All of which, except Walnut, grow here in Southern Vermont. My finishes are a hand rubber oil finish.
