When I was working with The Brooklyn Bakery, we used Demar Leather (their subsidiary, Milton Sokol), and it was great to walk in and hand pick the leather. Their prices are super reasonable, but just make sure you ask if they are job lots or stock leathers, and how often they replenish. We used to work with Peter, but he's not there anymore I think.
