Charles Perrella Inc

In 1917, Genaro Perrella began as an apprentice hand made jeweler. During this period, there was no method for mass production. All components of a piece of jewelry were handmade. Although it took long hours for a jeweler like Genaro to finish a piece, the quality was superb! Charles R. Perrella joined his brother Genaro in 1928 at the age of fifteen. Together the two brothers worked at becoming Masters of their trade. Charles continued after his brother's untimely passing in 1931 and eventually became a Master Jeweler and Designer and later entrepreneur starting his own business in 1948. Charles also recognized the value of handmade work and integrated many of these techniques in his jewelry construction. His shop was patented after the European type jewelry factory where people were well rounded in all aspects of the creation of jewelry. Working in 14k, 18k, and Platinum. Charles R. Perrella had one other philosophy he carried with him through his 50 years in the jewelry business. "Make top quality merchandise and never anything less". When Charles retired in 1978 his children assumed the running of Charles Perrella, Inc. Today his daughter Marie Perrella Somos and her husband Kyriakos are keeping up the family Tradition of Jewelry Excellence.
