My craft is about more than machinery or hand tools. It's about the process. The process of taking a client's ideas and dreams and turning them into a wonderful and well made piece of work that they can pass on to their children. The process that begins with a raw piece of wood and ends with a creation with mortise and tenon joinery, dovetail joints, and a fine finish that invites your hand to wander across the piece. Each day in my shop is different. One day's job might be creating a kitchen stool out of walnut while the next might involve designing and building a cabinet that fits the unique geometry of a client's home office. Another day might find me applying epoxy and fiberglass to the plywood bulkheads of a dory destined for the Grand Canyon.
