Founded in 2009, bke designs is a full-service custom woodwork and design firm based in Chicago. The firm's owner, Brian K. Ellison, is noted for his commitment to creative solutions, attention to detail, and customer service from design to construction. Located on the city's near West Side, the firm occupies space in the historic Wesling and Sons, Inc. wood fabrication center. The 10,000-square-foot shop currently manufactures a variety of products, including wooden boxes, frames, and components for xylophones and commercial grade large frame-form portrait cameras. In additional to designing living and commercial spaces, BKE Designs creates collections of leather upholstered furniture, sofa tables, woven wood partitions, boxes, coasters and other collectables.
