BASSLER / Williamsport Pattern Works is an evolving mix of 3D product designers, graphic artists, master patternmakers, and modelers. Louis M. Bassler established BASSLER in 1970 to serve architects and builders, by providing models, renderings, drafting, logos, and graphics to a wide range of both local and national companies. Soon the business expanded to include models, mock-ups, and prototypes for industrial manufacturers. During the eighties, increased services demanded larger facilities. A new building was constructed and WILLIAMSPORT PATTERN WORKS was acquired in 1990 with the added expertise of master patternmakers. This permitted another expansion of services to include industrial patterns for metal foundries, and the broad field of plastics. To keep abreast of new technologies, rapid prototyping was offered with the acquisition of Pennsylvanias first Laminated Object Manufacturing machine in 1994. This Helisys 1015 LOM Machine proved our ability to compete in a _time sensitive" marketplace. At the dawn of the millennium, we began to offer subtractive rapid prototyping services with our Motionmaster 3 axis CNC Router. We continue to offer rapid prototyping services in a variety of formats, and welcome the opportunity to provide our expertise in the development, manufacture, or marketing of your product. From playground equipment (Playworld Systems, Inc.) to refiner parts (Andritz, Inc.), from product motor housings and in-store displays (ShopVac Corp.) to machining insert foam for nuclear transportation containers (Areva, N.P.), from court case models to trade show promotions and games, our diverse experience enables us to offer a faster "concept to market" time for your products.
