About

For over 45 years we have been manufacturing quality fashion jewelry in Los Angeles, California. Our factory is 100% vertically integrated with every step of the manufacturing process under one roof. In addition to our manufacturing capabilities, we have extensive resources; 10,000+ different stones, 1,500+ different chains, 6,000+ different beads and an archive of over 35,000 different castings to design with. We can create custom designs for our customers or they are welcome to design directly from our archive to make their new collection. Working from our archive reduces development costs and we can produce as little as 150 units for you. FAQ’s What is your minimum order? When it comes to production, our MOQ is 150pcs. The minimum for custom castings is 300 pcs because we have to make a new model and mold for your item. What materials do you make your jewelry with? We are a “fashion jewelry” factory so we make all of our castings with a lead free/cadmium free white metal pewter alloy and then we finish all of our jewelry with a precious metal plated finish. We do not manufacture silver or gold jewelry. Our chains are made from brass or steel. We use glass, plastic and semi-precious beads. The stones in our jewelry are Swarovski crystal, Czech crystal, Chinese Glass or Epoxy Resin. We can also custom enamel our jewelry for you with enamel colors we custom blend for you. What is the best way to communicate my design ideas to you? We have been making jewelry for a long time so we can look at even the simplest sketches and understand what you are trying to create. Sometimes it is helpful to have images of finished items that have similarity to your design to reference. You are also welcome to send us links to your Pinterest board, tear sheets from magazines and anything else that inspires your design idea. I cannot sketch or design but I want to make jewelry and I have great ideas, can I give you my ideas and you can design the jewelry for me? Yes, we can design a jewelry collection for you if you have a good idea of what you want, how much you want each piece to cost and the materials you want to use. We would be happy to have a design consultation with you, discuss your ideas for your jewelry collection and then we will give you a price quote to develop a custom jewelry collection for you. Design consultation and development costs start at $1,000 for a small 6-12 piece collection. My design is special and proprietary, how do I protect my design? We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to looking at your design to protect your design. How much does it cost to make a new design? The price for a new model or sample depends upon the complexity of the design but a simple model can cost as little as $300 to make and a simple sample can be low as $20 to produce. You can reduce your development costs by working from existing components in our archive or by supplying your own model. Can I visit your factory and create my own designs from your archive? Yes, we have many designers who prefer to visit our factory and create their own designs from our extensive archive of castings, findings, chains, stones and beads. In fact, this can be the fastest and most cost effective method for creating new designs because you will be working directly with materials we can quickly and easily put our hands on and there is no custom tooling, models or molds to be made. What is the price to make a simple charm/necklace/ring/earring, etc…? We are constantly asked to give price quotations or estimates over the phone or email and we usually have to decline because there is so much that goes into producing a piece that we need to know before we can price it for you. We need to know the weight of the casting, we need to know the surface area of the chain for plating, and we need to know the quality of the materials you want to use. The best way for us to give you an accurate price estimate is to price an actual sample for you. If you can send us a sample of the item you want us to make, then we can give you a very accurate price quote for production. We will also provide you with price breaks at 500pcs, 2,000pcs, 5,000pcs. I have a special target price I am trying to meet with my design, how do you make sure your price is not more than I want to pay? One of the first things we ask when working on a new design is “What is your target price?” If you have a design you have created and you cannot pay more than say $5.00 for each piece, we are going to work with you to create a product that meets your price requirements. Sometimes this might mean making slight modifications to your existing design to make it more efficient to manufacture. We will always work hard to give you the best we can for the price you want to pay. I have a special stone/bead/chain/unique component that I would like to use in the production of my custom item; can I supply you with this part? Yes, we have worked with designers who have specially sourced components that they would like to use in their finished product. How long does it take to make a new design? The average time it takes to make a new sample or and new prototype depends upon the complexity of the design but it averages 6 weeks. What are your production lead times? Once we have sampled and priced a new item for you, our production lead time is 6 - 8 weeks. Lead times for re-orders can be as little as 3-4 weeks. Quality is a very important part of my brand. What steps do you take to ensure that the quality of the items you produce for me matches the quality of my sample? When we make a sample or prototype for you, we also make a matching set for ourselves. When you approve the quality of the sample we have sent to you, we turn over our matching sample to our production team. At each step in the production process, your production is matched back to the approved sample. If your production does not match, it is corrected until it does match. Your production should always be as good, if not better than the sample we produced for you. What are your payment terms for custom designs and production purchase orders? Our payment terms are 50% up front and 50% balance due upon completion. We accept credit cards, checks and money wires for payment. I need labels, tags, cards and boxes for my jewelry, do you supply packaging? We can produce labels and string tags for your jewelry but we do not manufacture packaging. We can however, put you in touch with several of our recommended packaging vendors who will be able to manufacture custom packaging for your jewelry collection. Many of our customers use our packaging suppliers, have their custom packaging shipped to our factory and then we will package your finished items in your custom packaging. I need help with distribution of my product; can you drop ship for me? At this time we do not have a system in place to drop ship custom product to individual customers but we can ship your product to a distribution warehouse on your behalf.
